Getting Alkaline – Jim Karnstedt

New Living Expo – Getting Alkaline – Jim Karnstedt

In Memorium

Our friend, Jim Karnstedt, said he ate some contaminated raw oysters at a San Francisco restaurant in June. I called Jim and invited him to come with me to an event, but he said he just didn’t have any energy to go out. When I talked to him on the phone, he complained of food poisoning for a few days and was weak. I ran into a mutual friend, Qalbi, after a Tibetan event in Berkeley, and said, “Let’s call Jim.” I called, and found out a friend had came by the Cosmic Kitchen and saw the shape Jim was in, and called the paramedics. Jim was being taken to the hospital, so I called his brother Mark Karnstedt, who came out to take care of things. Jim passed away of infectious meningitis in the hospital on July 10, 2009.
